Spring Piano Recital at St. Wilfrid

HUNTINGTON BEACH... Last Saturday, May 4, 2024 students of Piano Teacher Josie Williams held their Spring Recital at St. Wilfrid's of York Episcopal Church on Chapel Lane in Huntington Beach.
Parents, friends and relations nearly fill the church's large to watch and listen as 31 students aged from 5 to 17-years-old took their turn at the church's grand piano.
As each of the thirty-one future Carnegie Hall performers walked up the piano, they bowed to the audience before taking their seat in front of the ivory keys of the piano.
As their fingers hit the keys, the audience became enthralled at the music coming forth from these young budding professionals of the keyboard. Once when each selection ended each received a second applauding ovation.
The recital began with this years theme of "In a Galaxy Far Far Away," using some of the musical score from the Star Wars films and other space music.
Each student displayed his or her own original style and beauty as each played their special piece of music.

When asked how he liked his brother Vaughn Williams playing, his younger brother Pierce just said one word "Good."
