HUNTINGTON BEACH...This week we'll continue to get to know the people whose signs you may have seen along your neighborhood street corners that advertises an open house for sale or even who may have even sold you your dream home in Huntington Beach.

This week we will get a chance to know your Huntington Beach real estate agent Lori Loucks, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist and a wonderful lover of animals.

Lori was born in Northridge and whether the Northridge Earthquake of 1970 had anything to do with her family's decision to move or not, the family relocated to Huntington Beach when she was very young and has lived here ever since.

As a young girl she loved animals and thought about becoming a veterinarian when she grew up. Her first job when she was as a pet sitter and would later deliver the Daily Pilot newspaper to the neighborhood on her bicycle.

Throughout her early years in Surf City USA (Huntington Beach) she would continue her love of stray animals.

"I love to help animals find a good home," said Loucks

Lori got into the real estate business through her Mom, who was a Realtor.

When Lori was 20 years old, she purchased her first house

"I can still remember my first sale, it was a neighbor who needed to sell her home," said Loucks.

This was to be the start of her real estate career because as she says, "I like working with people."

She became a licensed agent in 2007 as a part-time agent and for the last five years as a full time real estate agent.

She has worked on the Star Real Estate team in its Huntington Harbour office and when Star merged with Seven Gables Real Estate she continued as an agent specializing in helping seniors find or sell property. In her short time in the real estate business, she has been awarded several important company awards from Star and Seven Gables including an award at Seven Gables that was voted by their agents.

The real estate keeps Lori very busy, but when she can find some extra time, she volunteers at the Orange County Animal Shelter and for fun she likes painting furniture and ballroom dancing and swing dancing or just hanging around her dog Butter.

Lori has the knowledge and resources to guide her clients through the often-complicated real estate processes. She strives to make it as a stress-free experience as possible for sellers, buyers and investors alike as well as providing continuous support, before, during and after a transaction.
