Getting to know Real Estate Agent Jennifer Handy

HUNTINGTON BEACH...This week we'll continue to get to know the people whose signs you may have seen on your neighborhood street corners that advertises an open house for sale or even who may have sold you your dream home in Huntington Beach.
This week we are privileged to get to know Realtor Jennifer Handy who is part of the Coldwell Banker Residential Broakerage.
Handy was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, during high school she would date a young student, Robert Handy and the two would become high school sweethearts and would marry.
Handy graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
Handy enjoyed a career after she graduated from university as a Certified Public Accountant and small-business owner.
In 2006 Handy received her real estate license and began her passion as a real estate agent.
Handy became interested in buying, remodeling, managing and selling investment property, come to California to first settle in San Bernardino.
In 2013 Jennifer and Robert and their two girls, Caitlyn and Madalyne, moved to Huntington Beach.
"We love the weather, the beach and all the good people of Huntington Beach," said Handy.
Jennifer fitted right in with the residents of surf city and joined several organizations including the Huntington Beach Police and Community Foundation, where today she serves as its treasurer. She serves on the city's Investment Advisory Board, a member of the HB Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, a member of the Huntington Beach Kiwanis Club.
Handy is also a member of a Huntington Beach book club composed of 12 ladies, mostly real estate agents like her.
If her last name sounds familiar in city government circles, its because Robert, or has she calls him, Robb, was our former chief of police. But don't worry if you don't buy the house she is showing you, she won't have her husband arrest you because she is a nice person.
