HUNTINGTON BEACH...This week we'll continue to get to know the people whose signs you may have seen on your neighborhood street corners that advertises an open house for sale or even who may have sold you your dream home in Huntington Beach.

This week we are privileged to get to know Realtor Cheryl Coleman who is part of the Keller Williams Realty group in Seal Beach.

Homes are in her blood, for when she was just out of high school at age 18, she purchased her first house.

But before her calling into real estate, Coleman worked for an airline company that allowed her to travel around the world.

She would later become a vice president of a marketing medical company before studying to receive her real estate license in 2004.

Selling homes in Huntington Beach gave Coleman a chance to get to know the people in the community and an opportunity to improve the community's life by sitting on several boards and committees.

She has been involved with the Waggin' Tails, Huntington Beach Community Forum, Sunset Beach Womans Club, and the Huntington Beach Elks.

Coleman claims she is the Queen of Karaoke of Surf City USA.

Coleman and husband Tommy have seven children between the two of them.

Their children; Jamie, Rachel, Emily, Ty, Katie, Travis and Nathan all support their mom and the tireless work she does for the community.

Coleman's personal philosophy and that of her team is that in today's challenging Southern California Real Estate Market, buyers are smarter. If they are going to pay top dollar they want a home that is a show piece. Cheryl's team of Designers and Contractors work to make that happen.

On Thursday, October 10th. you can join her and her team for a live Huntington Beach Community Forum, with complimentary pie and coffee, at Kathy May's Lakeview Cafe in Huntington Central Park west that meets the second Thursday of every month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The speakers for the next meeting will be HB Council Member Patrick Brenden who will update on what is happening with the city.

Also speaking will be John Menzies Clark on "How to pay for senior care without Long-Term care insurance" and Allyson Lehrich on how to "Stay sharp: Exercises you can do to improve your brain health."
