HUNTINGTON BEACH...This week we'll continue our search to know about the people whose signs you may have seen on your neighborhood street corners that advertises an open house for sale or even who may have sold you your dream home in Huntington Beach.

Having a father Bob and brother Mike in the Real Estate business, it was only natural that their daughter/sister enter the same family business.

Kimberly Bolen-Myszka's father Bob Bolen has been a Realtor and Broker for over 40 years in Huntington Beach as well as a distinguished surfer, surfboard shaper and early Huntington Beach surf shop owner.

Although Kimberly wasn't born in Surf City USA, but in Whittier, she practically grew up here and attended Smith Elementary, Dwyer Middle and Huntington Beach High Schools. She has watched how the downtown has evolved throughout her young years.

Growing up in Surf City with her three brothers, Bobby, Michael and Matt, looking after her welfare in the rough and tumble pre-surf city 1970's.

"I had no idea of entering into the Real Estate business when I was young, I just wanted to be a wife and mom," said Kimberly.

Even her first job didn't give an inkling that she would follow in the family business. Her first job was with a Marie Callendar Restaurant on Brookhurst Street near Garfield Avenue.

She later worked for 30 years as a Physical Therapist in Aliso Viejo before coming to work at her dad's Real Estate office at 322 Main Street in 2013.

It was a July 4th day in a Newport Beach Traffic Jam that she met her future husband Jim and exchanged phone numbers in a nearby parking lot. Today the couple have two children, Kyle and Karlie, plus a black and white cat named Moo. Her son Kyle is a firefighter in Costa Mesa and daughter Karlie is into markering.

"We named her Moo because she looks like a miniature cow," said Kimberly.

Kimberly got her Real Estate license in 2017 and is today a professional Realtor and Property Manager and can be reached at 714-960-8541.

For fun Kimberly likes walking, hiking and watching ice hockey.
